AbenteuerKindergarten

AbenteuerKindergarten is an early-years kindergarten in Altenburg, serving children aged 2.5 to 6. Its approach combines child-led free play with guided projects, giving children room to follow their interests while developing curiosity and creativity. Much of each day takes place in the Altenburg forest, alongside time in a large hut that serves as the kindergarten and provides space for indoor activities and projects.

The natural setting is central to the program. Children use materials such as wood, soil, and stones in imaginative play, explore their surroundings, and enjoy opportunities for movement. With specially trained coaches, they can also try activities including tennis, ice skating, football, and climbing at sports facilities. After an active morning, children share a healthy, tasty lunch.

AbenteuerKindergarten supports children as they build independence, social skills, and confidence, with educators observing and documenting their development. Its program offers a nature-focused, play-based environment where children can discover, learn, and grow through everyday experiences and shared projects.
