Abi-K is a Brighton-born British design label established in 2011, creating distinctive accessories and home furnishings from vintage Japanese kimono and fukuro obi silks. These richly patterned textiles, which began life in Kyoto, are transformed into small-batch and limited-edition pieces designed by Abi and made in England. The collections include clutch purses, evening bags, shoulder bags, versatile everyday bags, glasses cases, purses, cuff bracelets and statement necklaces. For the home, Abi-K offers cushions and table runners, as well as coordinated collections that pair bags and accessories made from the same obi silk.

Each piece is individually crafted, giving the designs a personal, wearable-art quality and helping make use of vintage materials. The brand describes its approach as sustainable and ethical, and has received a British Jewellers’ Association Design Award; its work has also appeared in Tatler and Chelsea Life. Abi-K sells online and offers personalised shopping support, including WhatsApp video calls from its studio.
