About Abibifahodie
Abibifahodie Capoeira, established in 2009 in Accra, Ghana, by Dr. Obadele “Africano” Kambon, is dedicated to the art and philosophy of Capoeira, emphasizing Afrikan liberation. With roots tracing back to the late 1990s, Africano has trained extensively in both Angola and Regional Capoeira, gathering a wealth of experience through instruction across various educational institutions in the United States and Ghana.
The name "Abibifahodie," which translates to "Afrikan Liberation" in the Twi language, reflects the organization’s commitment to using Capoeira as a tool for empowerment and resilience. Abibifahodie Capoeira welcomes participants from all backgrounds, fostering an inclusive environment that celebrates cultural heritage through physical activity.
