Abilities Independent Community, Inc. (AIC) is an organization focused on helping adults with disabilities build more independent, connected lives. Its community is intended for adults with autism, physical disabilities—including mobility, speech, hearing, or vision challenges—and cognitive conditions such as Down syndrome. Adults aged 55 and older are also welcomed into its housing program, supporting an inclusive community.

AIC combines affordable housing support with practical training and access to resources. Its life-skills programs address everyday routines, decision-making, time management, communication, cooking, cleaning, and managing bills. The organization also helps participants explore housing options and related financial or independent-living resources, while offering guidance toward employment, training workshops, and volunteering opportunities. Social and creative activities, educational workshops, gatherings, support circles, and caregiver training are intended to foster connection and belonging.

AIC also welcomes caregivers, volunteers, family members, and supporters. Through donations and community participation, it seeks to provide daily support, encourage personal growth, and help residents develop skills for greater independence.
