Ability Moves

Ability Moves is a Coffs Harbour-based, fully accredited NDIS service provider offering inclusive, movement-based capacity-building programs for participants aged four and over. Its approach is person-centred and strengths-based, with sessions tailored to each participant’s abilities, learning preferences, and NDIS goals. Through structured group classes and individual support, Ability Moves helps people develop functional skills, physical capability, confidence, emotional regulation, independence, resilience, and social connection.

Programs include adaptive martial arts, inclusive yoga, breathwork, mindfulness, and general movement classes. Sessions are designed to accommodate different abilities, sensory needs, and support requirements, with participants encouraged to progress at their own pace in a welcoming environment. The service focuses on practical outcomes that can support daily life and community participation.

Ability Moves offers an initial conversation to understand a participant’s goals, create a suitable plan, and match them with a class style, instructor, and schedule. The team includes experienced coaches and teachers, including founder Bernardo Magalhães, a qualified physical education professional and martial arts instructor, and senior movement and breathwork teacher Marja.
