ABIO Mantova

ABIO Mantova Odv is a volunteer association founded in Mantova in 1998 to promote a more welcoming, child-friendly hospital experience. Affiliated with Fondazione ABIO Italia Onlus, it supports children and their families at the Paediatrics Department of Carlo Poma Hospital. Its volunteers welcome and assist families during hospital stays, helping to ease the difficulties and potential stress associated with entering a hospital. The association has around 50 active volunteers and focuses its work on emotional support and humanising care for young patients and their families.

ABIO Mantova invites people to become volunteers, noting that the role calls for strong motivation, creativity, interpersonal skills and resilience, as well as care for children.
