ABRAAt

ABRAAt, the Brazilian Association of Athletics Referees, is a nonprofit, private legal entity founded on December 1, 2013. Based in Curitiba, Paraná, it brings together athletics officials and supports their work across Brazil. The association promotes a united, collaborative community of referees and contributes to the development of fair, informed officiating in the sport.

ABRAAt provides continuing education and technical information through online quizzes, questionnaires, articles, and documents. Its learning resources cover topics such as event rules, throwing-event categories and weights, and changes to World Athletics regulations. The organization also shares materials for exam preparation and hosts or promotes talks on officiating, sports justice, ethics, and referees’ responsibilities. Its website publishes news, event calendars, meeting notices, election information, and association documents, while highlighting the work of women in officiating.

The site also features practical athletics-related items, including shoe-measuring devices, referee cards, and guide ropes, with availability information provided in its posts. ABRAAt invites referees to join and offers contact and ombudsman channels for its community.
