Abralatas

Abralatas is the Brazilian association representing the aluminum can production chain across the country. Since 2003, it has promoted aluminum cans and supported the development and competitiveness of the sector. The organization brings together manufacturers and other industry partners, advocates for their shared interests, and encourages collaboration across the value chain. Its work also highlights the sustainability benefits of aluminum cans, which are fully recyclable and can be recycled repeatedly without losing quality.

Abralatas does not sell cans or carry out recycling itself. Instead, it supports policies and initiatives that help the recycling system function effectively and improve over time. Its projects include O Futuro Se Faz Com Lata, Impacto Circular, Lata Mais Bonita, and Cada Lata Conta. The association also shares industry news, educational resources, publications, and sector ESG reporting, including material connected to sustainability practices and the UN 2030 Agenda. Based in Brasília, Abralatas offers membership opportunities, industry representation, networking, and engagement in programs and initiatives for companies involved in the aluminum can sector.
