Abrüpt is an independent literary publishing project that produces books and “anti-books,” circulates literature and ideas, and encourages free, collective criticism of contemporary life and its possibilities. Working across paper and digital forms, it describes its practice as forging a “digital verb” and putting language into the information society to express enduring dreams and dissent. Its publications gather texts that resist, transform, and circulate through shared reading, challenging accepted assumptions and exploring the realities beneath the networked world.
Abrüpt’s varied catalogue includes poetry, fiction, essays, and experimental writing by authors such as Simone Weil, Virginia Woolf, Antonin Artaud, and contemporary writers including C. Jeanney, Étienne Michelet, and Pierre-Aurélien Delabre. The works address subjects ranging from social struggle, authority, and labor to technology, memory, ecology, and political upheaval. Some titles are presented as forthcoming. Abrüpt also publishes collective projects, including a critique of authoritarian liberalism in the book world, reflecting its interest in making literature a space for shared inquiry, imaginative disruption, and critical exchange.
