The Alte Bürgerschützengilde Recklinghausen von 1387 e.V. is a historic community and shooting-sports club based in Recklinghausen, Germany. Founded in 1387, it is described as the oldest association in the Vest Recklinghausen and one of Germany’s oldest. Today, the guild combines its long-standing traditions with sporting activities, youth development, and an active program of gatherings and public events.
Its core sporting activities are air rifle and air pistol shooting, with training on Mondays from 6 p.m. at the club’s range in Mollbeck. The facility has eight electronic lanes, including two for three-position shooting, and sessions are supported by qualified shooting officers. Members can also take part in competitions and championships through the Schützenkreis Recklinghausen, as well as the guild’s traditional king-shooting event.
Beyond sport, the organization fosters local customs and community life through its Schützenfest, excursions, and other club events. It welcomes prospective members and offers its clubhouse for private celebrations and gatherings. The guild is affiliated with the German and Westphalian shooting associations.
