Absolute Mountain is a fitness race series that takes functional fitness outdoors, bringing competition and adventure together in natural settings. Its events are held in destinations ranging from mountain peaks and beaches to desert landscapes, with each course designed around eight functional fitness stations: one before the race and seven along the route. The challenges are intended for everyday athletes, offering different ways to test endurance and strength while enjoying the outdoors.

Participants can choose from a variety of race formats, including the Summit Sprint 5K, Ridge Runner 10K, Peak Pursuit Half Marathon, Alpine Endurance 30K, and The Absolute Ultra 50K. The event offering also includes team challenges, a night ascent trail run, and a charity summit hike. Absolute Mountain currently lists races in Stowe, Vermont, and Virginia Beach, with a desert event planned for 2027.

The brand’s purpose extends beyond personal achievement: its races support affiliated nonprofit partners. Absolute Mountain also provides race preparation resources, including training information, affiliate gyms, qualifications, rules, and FAQs, and invites people to participate as sponsors or volunteers.
