Goodwill operates several retail stores where donated items are sold, with 90% of sales proceeds directed towards vital community programs and services in Rochester and Syracuse.

In addition to retail, Goodwill engages in various initiatives such as the Good Neighbor Program, which supplies essential items to local schools and organizations, ensuring support for those in need. Unsold merchandise is either sold in clearance stores or recycled responsibly. Goodwill also offers a range of Vision Services, including low vision rehabilitation and mobility training, alongside workforce development programs. By donating goods to Goodwill, community members directly contribute to the mission of elevating people and the planet, promoting recycling, reusing, and responsible consumption.
