The Austrian Study Centre for Peace and Conflict Resolution (ASPR) was founded in 1982 by Dr Gerald Mader and other like-minded people. We are located at Schlaining Castle in Southern Burgenland, with a second office in Vienna, the nation’s capital. We support people so that they can engage in conflicts non-violently, constructively and sustainably.

About ACP Schlaining
The Austrian Centre for Peace (ACP), founded in 1982, is dedicated to promoting peaceful conflict resolution. With locations in Burg Schlaining in Südburgenland and Vienna, ACP supports individuals in resolving conflicts in a non-violent, constructive, and sustainable manner. Recognizing the close relationship between research, education, and conflict transformation practice, ACP offers a wide range of services and programs.
These include training programs such as the Sommerakademie Friedenspädagogik, research projects, as well as scientific events like NeFKÖ Politikberatung and Forschungsprojekte. Furthermore, ACP engages in peace and conflict work in areas such as the Holy Land, Iraq, Libya, South Sudan, and Uganda, as well as providing support for local peacebuilding efforts.
