Acacia Eco is an organization dedicated to implementing greening solutions to increase urban forests and mass plantations. With a focus on sustainable urban forestry, Acacia Eco utilizes the scientifically proven Miyawaki Forestation method to create lush and thriving green spaces in and around cities. This method has demonstrated its effectiveness in adverse soil and climate conditions and promotes faster and more sustainable growth compared to traditional techniques.
The journey of Acacia Eco began with a successful pilot forest using the Miyawaki method, leading to the promotion of this approach since March 2016. Acacia Eco collaborates with both private and public stakeholders to execute forestation projects, offering consulting or turnkey solutions. Their expertise extends beyond Miyawaki plantations, encompassing larger development aspects such as master planning, designing seating areas and trails, orchard plantations, and the creation of water bodies.
Under the Acacia Eco umbrella, they operate through two entities: Acacia Eco Plantation Services LLP and Acacia Eco Trust. These units specialize in smart, modular, and sustainable plantations for everyday spaces, selecting suitable plant species based on soil, climate, and usage. The result is biodiverse and low-maintenance ecosystems that support the flora and fauna.
If you are interested in growing a forest near you, Acacia Eco is the organization to contact. While based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, they execute projects across India. Stay informed about their projects and volunteer opportunities by following them on social media.
