Academia do Mergulho São Paulo is a NAUI-recognized dive training facility offering courses and guided diving experiences for people looking to explore underwater safely. With more than 25 years of experience, the school follows NAUI’s international training standards and says it has trained over 1,000 divers. Its own São Paulo facilities include a covered, heated pool measuring 10 by 20 metres, with a maximum depth of four metres, and regularly inspected equipment for confined-water practice.
Students can take a diving course or an advanced course, with lessons in São Paulo and open-water training, or “check-outs,” in Ilha Grande. The school also offers introductory dives in locations including Ilha Grande and Ilhabela. For certified divers, its trips feature destinations such as Laje de Santos, Queimada Grande, Arraial do Cabo, Ilha Grande and Alcatrazes. A base in Ilha Grande provides accommodation for visitors. The academy emphasizes safety, quality and enjoyment, and reports being named NAUI’s Dive School of the Year.
