The Académie de Tai-Chi du Québec is a nonprofit organization founded in Longueuil in January 2010. Its founder, Rolland Cousineau, was a dedicated student of Master Moy Lin-Shin and brought nearly twenty years of experience practising Tai-Chi and Lok Hup Ba Fa. The academy offers instruction in the 108 movements of the Tai-Chi sequence, taught progressively over one year through three four-month sessions.
This structured approach supports students as they learn and master the movements, while encouraging relaxation and well-being. The academy also describes Tai-Chi as an exercise that can improve concentration and memory and help calm the mind. Classes are held at Place Jacques-Cartier, 1401 Chemin de Chambly in Longueuil, in a ground-floor location with more practice space and parking available.
