Académie de voltige

Académie de voltige équestre Fleur & Georges Cotrait is an equestrian vaulting school in Auberville, Normandy, about 15 minutes from Deauville. Founded by Georges Cotrait in 1976, the academy combines horseback acrobatics with theatre and live performance, offering children a distinctive way to develop balance, flexibility, confidence and stage presence.

The academy welcomes children aged 6 to 14, from beginners to more experienced vaulters. During school holidays, it runs week-long residential camps with full board, featuring vaulting, theatre and other activities. Each camp concludes with a presentation for families, bringing together the skills learned during the week. No previous experience is required for the listed camps.

From September to June, weekly Saturday classes are available at different times, with groups organised by age and ability. Sessions use horses trained for vaulting and include work at walk, trot and canter. The academy also has its own theatre, where participants explore music, lighting, costumes and staging. Families can enquire about courses, camps and performances through the academy’s online registration and contact services.
