Academy of Fine Art Germany

The Academy of Fine Art Germany is a classical art academy based in Bad Homburg, offering structured training in realistic drawing, painting and sculpture. It presents itself as Germany’s only classically oriented art academy and combines traditional artistic foundations with contemporary subjects. Experienced artists teach in small classes, with individual and intensive support for students.

Its state-recognized programs include training as an art painter, a sculptor, and a hybrid course covering drawing, painting and modeling. Students can also pursue an additional Digital Artist qualification, focused on turning ideas into visual compositions. Alongside practical instruction, the curriculum includes subjects such as anatomy, digital drawing and painting, and art business, helping students build skills for a range of creative careers.

The academy supports aspiring artists interested in paths such as illustration, comics, tattooing, studio practice or work in animation. Prospective students can request a free personal consultation about the programs. The academy also offers workshops and hosts events and exhibitions, while its website features a gallery, blog, and information about financing, materials and career opportunities.
