Acadia BJJ

Acadia Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a community-focused martial arts academy in Ellsworth, Maine, offering welcoming, beginner-friendly training for children and adults. Its classes support fitness, confidence, self-defense, personal growth, and the enjoyment of learning Jiu-Jitsu, with no previous experience required.

The kids program serves ages 4–12 through age-appropriate instruction, movement drills, games, and basic grappling techniques, emphasizing coordination, discipline, respect, teamwork, and confidence. Adult programs for ages 13 and up include Gi fundamentals, advanced Gi, advanced No Gi, and open mat sessions. Instruction covers core techniques, drilling, partner work, and, as students progress, optional supervised live training.

Experienced instructors lead classes designed to build strong fundamentals and safe training habits while helping students of different experience levels improve together. Acadia offers flexible memberships for adults and children, a student unlimited plan for eligible students ages 14–24, and casual or class-pass options. Newcomers can begin with a three-class trial, which includes a loaner uniform and lets them experience the gym before choosing a membership.
