ACAPASIL, the Asociación Canaria de Psicología Asistencial Laurisilva, is a nonprofit organization in the Canary Islands dedicated to making professional psychological and social support accessible to people facing social or economic vulnerability. Since 2012, it has worked to ensure that financial circumstances do not prevent people from receiving emotional care. The organization reports having supported more than 1,950 people since 2019, with the help of its team and public-sector partners.
Its services and initiatives address a range of needs. The Proyecto Laurisilva provides free psychological care for people in vulnerable situations, while PsicoPONOS offers emotional support to young people at risk of exclusion from employment. Proyecto LAVA promotes youth mental health through workshops and creative support, and Musarañas by Laurisilva provides psychoeducational workshops for families, children, and adolescents. ACAPASIL also highlights training, professional networking, and opportunities to collaborate through volunteering, employment, and donations. Guided by a commitment to accessibility, quality, and social justice, the organization invites individuals and institutions to help extend its support across the islands.
