BCACCS

The BC Aboriginal Child Care Society (BCACCS) is a Centre of Excellence for Indigenous early learning and child care in British Columbia. Since 1996, it has worked to ensure Indigenous children can access spiritually enriching, culturally based, high-quality early learning and child care services. The Society supports communities and early childhood professionals through a broad range of programs, resources, and learning opportunities.

Its services include the Aboriginal Child Care Resource and Referral Program, BCACCS preschools, Jordan’s Principle support, and an Enhanced Service Coordination Hub for BC. The organization also contributes to the implementation of the Indigenous Early Learning and Child Care Framework and offers education and training, workshops, conferences, professional development opportunities, and a community of practice. Its website provides a job board, scholarships and awards, funding information for First Nations early learning programs, curriculum kits, research, publications, and a searchable resource centre. BCACCS also shares community news and events and invites people to support its work through donations and membership.
