Accendi il Buio is a family association based in Cremona, Italy, created to share the experiences of families living with autism and to expand opportunities for autistic children and young people. The organization also works to raise awareness of autism, communicate the needs and rights of autistic people, and encourage their inclusion in society.

Its activities combine practical support, recreation, education, and community advocacy. The athletics project offers motor activities in a gym, led by sports professionals and educators. The leisure-time project gives children, young people, and their families opportunities for social connection, games, new experiences, and developing independence, with support from professional educators. Through its autism-awareness work, the association takes part in events and discussions with institutions to share family perspectives and promote understanding.

Accendi il Buio also runs a swimming project and cultural initiatives, including events such as “Quattro Sabati Con Noi.” Its “La Bussola dei Servizi” guide helps families navigating autism or other disabilities understand available services, support, and administrative processes.
