About Access Covenant Church
Access Covenant Church is a multi-ethnic church located in Southeast Portland, Oregon. As part of the Covenant church, we prioritize the pursuit of racial justice. Our story began in 2012 when Joel and Sabrina Sommer engaged in conversations with friends and neighbors who were in cross-cultural marriages and seeking a church that reflected the diversity of God's people.
Since then, we have actively worked to resist racial divisions and serve our community. Our values include contemplative spirituality, promoting emotional health, and advocating for racial justice. We believe in challenging dominant social structures and addressing racial injustice both within and outside the church.
Access Church is part of a broader network of over 800 Covenant churches in the USA, united by our common identity and theological commitments. Join us on Sundays to experience our inclusive and transformative community
