Access to Medicine Foundation

The Access to Medicine Foundation is a pivotal organization dedicated to combating antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and improving access to essential medicines worldwide. Since its inception, the Foundation has engaged with pharmaceutical companies to drive meaningful action against the rising threat of drug-resistant infections, especially in low- and middle-income countries where the burden is greatest. The Foundation's initiatives encompass research and development, responsible manufacturing, appropriate access, and stewardship, thereby fostering collaboration across sectors.

Their work includes comprehensive analyses through the AMR Benchmark, which evaluates pharmaceutical companies' strategies and progress in addressing AMR challenges. The Foundation also collaborates with investors, providing insights that enhance corporate accountability and sustainability in medicine manufacturing. By hosting discussions and releasing impactful reports, they guide stakeholders towards effective policies and practices to curb AMR. With a commitment to global health security, the Access to Medicine Foundation remains a vital player in driving sustainable change in the pharmaceutical industry and ensuring that essential medicines are accessible to those in need.
