About AC Component
The Air Canada Component of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) is a vital organization representing over 8,000 flight attendants at Air Canada and Air Canada Rouge. With members based in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, and Montreal, our highly trained professionals are committed to ensuring the safety and comfort of the more than 90,000 passengers who travel daily across Canada and around the world. As the front-line guardians of safety and security in the air, our flight attendants play a crucial role in the business infrastructure of Canada.
We remain constantly vigilant, putting the security of Canada's aircraft and the safety of the flying public as our top priorities. Our union is dedicated to meeting the individual needs of our members, advocating for their interests, and protecting the security of our passengers. We strive to secure the highest wage standards, job security, and optimal working conditions for our members.
The Air Canada Component of CUPE administers and enforces collective agreements, ensuring that our flight attendants receive thorough and up-to-date training to uphold their own safety and that of our passengers. We work tirelessly to provide our members with an effective and united voice, earning the confidence of our employer, our governments, and our passengers, who recognize our flight attendants as safety professionals. Our objective is to advance the social, economic, and overall working conditions of our membership, while promoting their rights to full participation in the union without any form of discrimination.
Throughout our history, we have worked diligently to protect the rights of flight attendants and ensure the safety of passengers. From the early days of bumpy flights and unpressurized cabins to the present day, we have fought for better salaries, working conditions, and safety standards.
