Accrescent

Accrescent is an innovative Android app store dedicated to prioritizing security, privacy, and user-friendliness. Currently in its alpha stage, Accrescent is designed as a private platform that offers developers and users a seamless experience while enforcing modern security practices. Key features include app signing key pinning for secure app installations, signed repository metadata to prevent malicious tampering, and automatic updates for devices running Android 12 or higher, ensuring effortless software maintenance.

The store is optimized for split APKs, allowing downloads to be tailored for individual devices, which helps minimize bandwidth usage. Remarkably, Accrescent does not require users to create an account, thereby enhancing privacy. The store is compatible with Android 10 and above and can be downloaded through the GrapheneOS App Store.

Accrescent is also actively engaged with its community through chat rooms on platforms like Matrix, alongside announcements on Twitter, Mastodon, and Bluesky, with all source code accessible on GitHub
