About Accurascale
Accurascale is a model railway manufacturer that is known for producing high-quality and detailed models. They have recently launched their latest 'Accurascale Exclusive' model, the Class 66 no 66769 in the GBRf Prostate Cancer UK livery. This special edition model has been created to raise £10,000 for Prostate Cancer UK, a very worthy cause.
The model was launched at the Accurascale 'take-over' event at Chester Cathedral, where a fully working pre-production sample was displayed. The real locomotive, 66769, was part of the penultimate delivery of Class 66s and arrived in the UK in 2014. It was later selected to wear a special livery in support of Prostate Cancer UK and became the flagship of the GBRf 2021 tour.
Sadly, the locomotive also serves as a tribute to GBRF contracts manager, Paul Taylor, who lost his battle with prostate cancer in 2022. Accurascale's Class 66 release program aims to raise awareness and funds for important causes. By purchasing this limited edition model, customers can not only enjoy a beautifully designed model but also contribute to the fight against prostate cancer.
The model is available for pre-order on the Accurascale website and will be delivered in early 2024
