About ACD
The Association for Children with Disability (ACD) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting children with disabilities and their families across Victoria. With over 40 years of experience, our vision is to ensure that children with disabilities have the same rights and opportunities as other children. ACD empowers families by providing them with knowledge, skills, and confidence to help their children thrive.
We also advocate for the rights of children with disabilities and their families, influence government policies, and educate service providers and the community to be inclusive. Our services include a Support Line, workshops, and access to information and resources for both families and professionals. We also have a rich history of successful campaigns that have led to positive changes, such as prioritizing students with disabilities in the COVID-19 response and advocating for NDIS reforms.
