Agency for community development Aid

Agency for Community Development Aid (ACDA) is a national, nonprofit non-governmental organization established in February 2021 and registered with South Sudan’s Ministry of Relief and Rehabilitation Commission. Based in Juba, ACDA works with communities affected by conflict, displacement, and climate shocks, including in hard-to-reach areas. Its mission focuses on helping children and individuals access protection, education, child governance, health, and nutrition, while supporting recovery from adversity and crisis. Guided by accountability, transparency, integrity, collaboration, humanity, and empowerment, the organization uses integrated, community-led, rights-based approaches to strengthen wellbeing and resilience.

ACDA’s programs span protection for women, children, people with disabilities, and displaced communities; primary healthcare and maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health and nutrition; and water, sanitation, and hygiene initiatives, including boreholes, solar water systems, latrines, and handwashing facilities. It also provides emergency food assistance, livelihood recovery, climate-smart agriculture inputs, and support for peacebuilding, conflict resolution, and youth and women’s leadership. During crises, ACDA delivers emergency shelter and non-food items to displaced families.
