Africa Clean Energy Technical Assistance Facility (ACE TAF) is a 4-year program funded by the UK Government, aimed at catalyzing market-based approaches for the private sector delivery of renewable energy electrification technologies in Africa. With a focus on high-quality stand-alone solar systems, ACE TAF works to increase access to reliable energy, leading to improved well-being and livelihood opportunities for poor and vulnerable populations in sub-Saharan Africa. To achieve its goals, ACE TAF collaborates with governments, private sectors, and donor initiatives, working in 14 countries across Africa.

The program focuses on creating an enabling environment through improved policies and regulations, enhancing knowledge management by sharing evidence-based practices, and coordinating activities with relevant initiatives. ACE TAF is implemented by a consortium of leading players in the off-grid solar and economic development sectors, including Tetra Tech International Development, Open Capital Advisors, Solar Sister, World Resources Institute, and the Global Off-Grid Lighting Association. Together, they provide financial advisory services, quality assurance support, knowledge management, and consultation with national industry bodies.
