About ACEPESA
ACEPESA is a brand that offers a range of services and products related to sustainable development and environmental management. They specialize in providing consultations and trainings in areas such as Integrated Solid Waste Management, Potable Water and Wastewater, Climate Change, and Business and Environmental Management. With a strong focus on empowering local communities, ACEPESA has successfully implemented various projects.
One of their notable projects includes strengthening the resilience and adaptation to climate change in the coastal communities of Chomes and Manzanillo. They have also worked on initiatives such as the management of electrical and electronic waste, recovering and recycling abandoned fishing gears on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica, and capacity development for improved sanitation conditions and threat reduction in the communities surrounding the Humedal-Parque Nacional Marino Las Baulas Ramsar Site. ACEPESA began as a research center in 1991, driven by young professionals with a focus on occupational health.
