ACER (Association des Combattants de l’Espagne Républicaine) is dedicated to preserving the memory of those who fought against fascism during the Spanish Civil War. Founded in 1996 by the descendants of the war’s combatants, ACER seeks to ensure the legacy of resistance endures through various initiatives. The association organizes events, commemorations, and memorial pathways while hosting a wealth of historical resources, including documentaries, articles, and personal testimonies.

ACER also provides educational materials such as a dictionary of the Brigades and a bibliography highlighting critical works related to the conflict. Key activities include the organization of conferences, exhibitions, and collaborations with international groups, ensuring a comprehensive remembrance of the past. For those wishing to engage further, ACER offers opportunities to join their cause, participate in commemoration ceremonies, and access an extensive library dedicated to the history of the Spanish Civil War and its enduring relevance today. Through these efforts, ACER plays a vital role in honoring the struggles of those who stood against oppression.
