Achilles is a distinguished volunteer unit known as the 429 Separate Brigade of Unmanned Systems, established in the early days of the large-scale invasion. Its primary missions focus on aerial reconnaissance and striking enemy forces using drones. Commanded by veteran Yuri Fedorенко, the brigade is composed of dedicated volunteers who initially formed a rifle company during the early conflict phases.

As they evolved in combat effectiveness, the unit integrated advanced drone technologies to enhance artillery targeting. By 2024, Achilles had achieved significant success, resulting in its elevation to a battalion and subsequently to a separate regiment in 2025, demonstrating groundbreaking results with the destruction of nearly 20,000 enemy targets. The brigade emphasizes continuous technical advancement and offers roles ranging from UAV operators to cybersecurity specialists.

The core values of Achilles include mission-first initiatives, discipline, and mutual support, ensuring that every member can thrive both personally and professionally while maintaining safety on the battlefield
