About ACLU-SDIC
The ACLU of San Diego & Imperial Counties (ACLU-SDIC) is a leading force in protecting and expanding fundamental rights in California's second-most populous county, San Diego, as well as in Imperial County and the state's southern borderlands. Guided by a vision of a just and fair society, ACLU-SDIC works tirelessly to achieve equity, fairness, and freedom through community engagement, policy advocacy, and impact litigation. ACLU-SDIC fights for a wide range of issues, including advancing equity, protecting immigrants' rights, and advocating for police practices reform.
They work to resolve deeply rooted social inequities, challenge systemic racism, and protect civil rights and freedoms. With a dedicated team of 36 staff members, over 13,000 card-carrying members, and numerous volunteers, ACLU-SDIC is committed to building a more just and fair society for all. Through litigation, advocacy, education, and community partnerships, ACLU-SDIC is at the forefront of creating systemic change and ensuring that everyone has equal access to their rights and freedoms.
