ACLU Hawaii is a private, non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to protecting the civil rights and civil liberties of the Hawaiian Islands, Guam, and American Samoa since 1965. With the support of community partners and volunteers, they work tirelessly to ensure that the government respects and upholds the fundamental constitutional rights of every individual, regardless of race, socioeconomic status, gender expression, or sexual orientation. Their mission includes fighting for smart justice reforms, abortion access, gender equity, and the right to privacy.

Committed to creating a safer and more just Hawaii, ACLU Hawaii defends civil liberties through lobbying, litigation, and public education. As an independent government watchdog, they rely on the support of individual donors to continue their important work. ACLU Hawaii operates under two organizational entities, the ACLU of Hawaii and the ACLU of Hawaii Foundation, with donations to the latter being fully tax-deductible.

By supporting both, you can help protect civil liberties throughout the Hawaiian Islands and across the nation
