About ACM Awards
The Academy of Country Music (ACM) is a renowned brand that has been at the forefront of promoting and supporting the country music industry for over half a century. From its humble beginnings as a regional organization in Southern California, the ACM has now become a national powerhouse with a higher purpose of improving lives by connecting fans, artists, and the industry. The ACM is committed to promoting new and rising artists, as well as established superstars.
In addition, they actively support charitable causes nationwide through their philanthropic arm, ACM Lifting Livesยฎ. The Academy's rich history dates back to 1964 when it was officially founded in Los Angeles. A collaboration between performer Tommy Wiggins, songwriter Eddie Miller, and club owners Mickey and Chris Christensen, along with other key industry figures, led to the establishment of the Country and Western Music Academy, which eventually evolved into the ACM.
With a focus on fostering talent, supporting charitable causes, and connecting fans with their favorite country music artists, the ACM continues to fulfill its mission and engage country music enthusiasts worldwide
