This includes the navigation of inland and coastal waterways, the surface and submerged land deeded to it by letters of patent and acts of the Texas Legislature, and all other land and water resources acquired for the benefit of the citizens of Aransas County.

About ACND
Aransas County Navigation District (ACND), a political subdivision of the State of Texas, is dedicated to the conservation and development of natural resources. Their mission includes the navigation of inland and coastal waterways, as well as the management of surface and submerged land acquired for the benefit of the residents of Aransas County. ACND boasts an impressive array of facilities, spanning over 1,900 acres.
This includes three harbors with 290 boat slips, five boat ramps, and two kayak launch sites. Anglers can enjoy nearly two miles of fishing piers, two fishing jetties, and 10 bait stands. Meanwhile, the Little Bay complex in Rockport features 25 pristine acres of beach, consistently ranked as one of the cleanest in Texas.
It offers various amenities such as restrooms, pavilions, a festival site, and sculptures. Additionally, ACND owns and manages commercial sites for businesses, government agencies, museums, and aquariums.
