ACP is a socially oriented and commercially viable enterprise that aims to empower low-income artisans and promote fair trade practices. Founded in 1984 by Ms. Meera Bhattarai, ACP provides design, market, management, and technical services to craft producers, particularly women, in Nepal.

The organization operates under an 11-member Executive Board, with 8 women members, and works with over 500 producers who are either home-based or work in groups. ACP supports 18 skill categories, including weaving, dyeing, felting, knitting, block printing, metalwork, and more. With a resource center spanning 43,000 sq.

ft., ACP procures and processes raw materials, develops new products, and ensures quality control. The organization also operates a retail store called Dhukuti. ACP has transformed the lives of artisans by providing economic security, empowerment, and respect.

Through its commitment to fair trade principles, ACP promotes transparency, non-discrimination, good working conditions, and environmental sustainability. With a strong brand presence and global reach, ACP continues to uplift the handicraft industry and revitalize traditional arts and skills
