The Asociación Colombiana de Periodismo Científico (Colombian Association of Scientific Journalism) is a non-profit organization composed of journalists who promote the dissemination of science, technology, and innovation through the training of journalists and science communicators. Since its inception, the association has taken various actions to promote the specialization of scientific journalism in Colombia, including designing, organizing, and conducting seminars, conferences, courses, and workshops for practicing journalists, teachers, researchers, and university students. The ACPC welcomes journalists, communicators, students, teachers, scientists, and researchers interested in the communication of science to join their association.

They study and promote good practices in scientific journalism and communication in Colombia, aiming to facilitate accurate dissemination, assimilation, and use of knowledge. The ACPC will host the 12th World Conference of Science Journalists (WCSJ) in Medellín from March 27 to 31, 2023, bringing together more than 700 scientific journalists from around the world
