This includes monitoring health status and service delivery, preventing disease, mobilizing communities, conducting outreach, and promoting health policy and education. About Alameda County Health
Acphd, also known as the Alameda County Public Health Department, is committed to safeguarding the health and well-being of residents in Alameda County, California. They offer a wide range of programs and services designed to protect the community and ensure access to quality healthcare. These services include assessments of health status, disease prevention and control, policy development, education, community outreach, and ensuring access to quality medical services.
With over 600 dedicated employees, including public health nurses, doctors, dentists, social workers, and therapists, Acphd operates in four divisions: Community Health Services, Communicable Disease Control & Prevention, Family Health Services, and Public Health Nursing. They also have administrative units that oversee budget and finance, guide chronic disease programs, manage information systems, and handle accreditation and workforce development.
