ACPM, the Association of Construction Project Managers, is a professional organisation focused on advancing construction project management in South Africa. Its work promotes excellence in project delivery and supports a skilled, competent, efficient and inclusive profession. The association represents the interests of its members and advocates for greater recognition of construction project management expertise, with the aim of supporting sustainable growth across the membership base.
ACPM offers registration and membership opportunities, alongside professional development through its training hub, online continuing professional development resources and BIM masterclasses. Its events and capacity-building programmes provide further learning opportunities for industry participants. The organisation also recognises achievement through its Excellence Awards and makes industry documents available, including eJBCC documents approved by the Construction Industry Development Board for use by public authorities, and PROCSA documents that set out terms of engagement between clients and consultants.
ACPM’s history includes an interim executive committee, chaired by Charles Israelite, formed between 1990 and 2000 to consider establishing an association of project managers
