ACR - Austrian Cooperative Research is a network of private, non-profit research institutes that conduct research and development for companies. With a focus on supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), ACR offers a wide range of products and services to help businesses in their research and innovation activities. The network consists of 19 institutes that specialize in various fields such as sustainable construction, environmental technology, renewable energy, innovation and competitiveness, product development, materials, and digitalization.

ACR's institutes collaborate with the business sector, particularly Austrian SMEs, to develop solutions and transform research findings and technological expertise into marketable innovations. Additionally, ACR conducts research and development to advance industries and addresses economic, legal, political, and societal factors and conditions. The network also offers awards to recognize and showcase innovative projects carried out in collaboration with SMEs.
