A Creba

A Creba is a mental health association formed by people with mental health problems, their family members and others committed to supporting them. Established in 1994, it develops services and interventions in areas not covered by existing institutions, with the aim of improving quality of life and supporting social inclusion. The association provides comprehensive psychosocial care through community-based rehabilitation and occupational and employment support, as well as residential alternatives.

Its work also includes social and healthcare assistance for people with persistent mental health needs, including those experiencing related addiction issues, and services for dependent people and caregivers. Training and other measures help participants build skills, strengthen relationships and take part in community life. A Creba supports people and families in connecting with their social and, where possible, working environments.

It operates centres in Noia and Ribeira in A Coruña and is part of FEAFES-Galicia, the federation of associations for families and people with mental illness in Galicia
