About Acrylika
Acrylika is an artistic brand founded by Ika (Isaac) Abravanel, a talented painter from a family of Swiss-Jewish musicians. With a background rooted in various artistic disciplines, Ika has developed his own unique style over time. Acrylic paintings are his specialty, and his artistic journey can be divided into two distinct periods.
In the first period, his abstract paintings were characterized by circular motifs, created layer by layer with acrylics and high-pressure water hoses. Engraving and washing techniques added depth and texture to the artwork. In the second period, Ika shifted to abstract landscapes, inspired by photographs that he would later abandon to allow free and unplanned development.
Using black lines and various colors of acrylic and marker pens, he highlights specific elements and shapes in the landscape. Ika Abravanel's artistic process is a form of meditation, where the initial concept often evolves into something different and unexpected. His artwork is a testament to the power of a single moment, capturing nature's beauty and the artist's creative vision
