ACS Mental Health

ACS Mental Health (ACSMH) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing mental health and reducing stigma among Assyrian, Chaldean, and Syriac communities worldwide. Its work is grounded in the belief that effective support should reflect the community’s cultural, historical, spiritual, and social experiences. The organization’s REACH framework—Research, Education, Awareness, Collaboration, and Healing—guides its efforts to build a culturally responsive mental-health infrastructure.

ACSMH conducts community-based research to identify needs and shares findings through education, advocacy, and awareness initiatives. It provides mental-health resources and support, helps connect people with professionals, and develops partnerships with organizations across the diaspora and homeland. Its community programming encourages open conversations about mental well-being and aims to create spaces where people can seek understanding without shame. Topics featured by ACSMH include stress management for families and students, tools such as the circle of influence and concern, and efforts to address stigma.
