**ACT on Gender**

ACT is an innovative initiative dedicated to promoting gender equality in the European Research Area. Coordinated by Universitat Oberta de Catalunya and supported by a diverse consortium of institutions across ten European countries and Argentina, ACT serves as a hub for collaboration and knowledge sharing. The project is funded by the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 788204.

ACT focuses on enhancing Communities of Practice (CoPs) that aim to foster collaborative learning and institutional change regarding gender equality in higher education and research. The project conducts comprehensive surveys to map key actors engaged in gender equality efforts within research institutions and funding organizations.

Through various events such as international conferences, webinars, and workshops, ACT encourages practitioners to actively engage and implement strategies for gender equality. Additionally, ACT collaborates with GenPORT, which provides essential resources and materials to support its communities of practice.
