**Action for Shea Parklands** is an initiative led by the Global Shea Alliance aimed at the stewardship and sustainable development of shea parklands, pivotal to the ecosystem and local economies. The organization focuses on empowering women shea collectors and processors while promoting sustainable practices within the industry. A key goal of the initiative is the restoration of 4 million hectares of shea parklands by 2030, coupled with the nurturing of 10 million new shea and native trees.

With a firm commitment demonstrated through the Abuja Declaration of 2024, 143 GSA members have united under a comprehensive Call to Action to improve policies related to shea parkland management in ten countries. The initiative encourages global participation, inviting everyone to contribute towards planting ten million trees over the next decade. By fostering collaboration among co-ops, suppliers, and volunteers, Action for Shea Parklands is dedicated to sustainable growth and environmental preservation, ensuring future generations can thrive alongside rich shea resources.
