Action Society is a civil rights organization that was established in 2019. As a non-profit company with PBO status, we actively advocate for policy change in the interest of the public. Our mission is to give a voice to the voiceless and fight for a reformed justice system in South Africa. We hold the government accountable for failing to protect South African citizens and work within the community to bring about change.

Unfortunately, crime statistics in South Africa continue to rise, particularly in contact crime. The government and the South African Police Services are failing victims of crime, especially women and children. We believe that justice delayed is justice denied, and perpetrators are acting with impunity due to a flawed justice system.

We fight for a reformed justice system that is functional and victim-centered. We advocate for competent law enforcement and a judicial system that puts victims first and ensures that justice is served. We also push for swift and harsh punishment for perpetrators of abuse, sexual offenses against children, and gender-based violence.
