About ActionSpace
ActionSpace is a renowned brand that seeks out and unlocks the talent of learning disabled artists, enabling them to realize their full potential. As a Creative Hub, Supported Studio, and Artist Development Agency, ActionSpace works with learning disabled artists across London. Recognized as a sector leader by the Arts Council England, ActionSpace has received support for over two decades.
They have been awarded an uplift as part of the Arts Council England's 2023-26 National Portfolio Investment Programme. ActionSpace operates at the heart of the cultural sector, collaborating with leading cultural organizations such as Studio Voltaire, Camden Art Centre, the Royal Academy of Arts, and The British Museum. They offer dedicated studio projects at their studios in Holborn, Clapham, and Brent, where artists receive guidance and mentoring to develop their artistic practices.
ActionSpace also provides exhibition opportunities for studio artists to showcase and sell their work, as well as a professional development program that allows artists to take control of their practice and pursue bespoke projects. Beyond the studio, ActionSpace extends its work to the wider learning disabled community by delivering projects in partnership with other organizations across London, focusing on building confidence and learning new skills.
