Active Cumbria is the active partnership for Cumbria, hosted by Cumberland Council. As one of the 42 Active Partnerships in England, we work in collaboration with various organizations to increase participation in physical activity and sport across Cumbria. Our 5 Year Plan, developed in partnership with our Advisory Board and sector partners, guides our decision-making and investment efforts.

It focuses on addressing inequalities in sport and physical activity participation and aligns with Sport England's 10 Year Strategy. We are governed by an independent Advisory Board consisting of skilled individuals from diverse backgrounds. They provide strategic leadership, while our Core Team facilitates effective collaboration among individuals and organizations.

We are committed to minimizing our environmental impact by adopting sustainable practices such as reducing single-use plastic and promoting car-sharing and online meetings. Our mission is to improve lives through physical activity, and our vision is to see every individual in Cumbria enjoying an active lifestyle.
